Tessa Gamble-Johnson has been baking for others for over a decade, following in the footsteps of her mother (a culinary savant and French bread expert) and her grandmother (a bakery manager and cake decorator). It started when she would make holiday pumpkin rolls for her coworkers. Unfortunately, they were so popular she had to stop taking orders so she could get her real job done. Tessa works in health care by day and bakes by night, with 100 percent of her time dedicated to caring for others.
In 2021, she met the love of her life Larson Johnson, a paramedic firefighter, and the pair married two years later. Like a sourdough starter, their happiness fed Tessa’s passion for baking – it grew so rapidly that she had to start selling her goods or she was going to run out of room in her house.
Together the duo have worked to make Doughmeo and Juliet a reality – Tessa bakes, Larson tastes and washes dishes. He has gotten very good at washing dishes. Their goal is to share their joy with their community, one cookie at a time.
